M.T. Vasudevan Nair, a celebrated figure in Malayalam literature and cinema, passed away at the age of 91 in Kozhikode. Known for his exceptional skills as a writer and scriptwriter, he authored several landmark films and novels that have become integral to Malayali culture. His notable works include "Randamoozham," "Asuravithu," "Manju," "Kaalam," and "Nalukettu". He was awarded the Jnanpith in 1995 and was one of India's most translated regional-language writers. M.T. also served as the editor of Mathrubhumi Magazine, mentoring many young writers. His contributions to modernism in literature were highly regarded.
