National

  • Exercise Mountain Guardian 2026 commenced between the Indian Army and UAE Army at Chaubatia, Uttarakhand. The exercise is being conducted from 5 to 18 October 2026 with 92 personnel, equally represented by both countries.

  • The exercise focuses on mountain warfare, drone operations, surveillance, rock climbing, obstacle training and joint tactical operations.

  • Indian Railways conducted 160 kmph trials of the indigenous Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset on the Kota–Nagda section. The trials included dynamic oscillation and high-speed emergency braking tests.
